Laura Meakin's one-woman cabaret Lady Red is a dazzling musical performance.

"Laura is a beautiful pale-skinned redhead with a vivacious, bubbly, confident personality. So starting with 'I'm the Greatest Star' seemed very appropriate. She conveyed the humour of the number well, with her comic facial expressions and Streisand-esque mannerisms. But she was also able to reveal the more emotional side of her character, with that hymn to the other woman, 'Fifty Percent' and the beautiful 'Angels, Punks and Raging Queens'. Laura used the space well, whether sitting in the window for 'Gifts of Love' or flirting with the audience, up and down the aisle. I'm sure if she could have mounted the piano, she would of done so.
